Preparations for the exhibition.
 
Nov 04 – Wednesday             ISTANBUL   (B, L)
Visit the St. Sophia Museum, built in 6th century, once was the largest Christian Church in the world, the Topkapı Palace the Imperial Residence of Ottoman Sultans, with displays of priceless World-class collections of artifacts, jewelry and rare porcelain. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Afternoon visit Blue Mosque with its 6 minarets, and famous for its blue Iznik tiles, the Hippodrome Square where ancient chariot races were held, and then visit Underground Cistern.

Later on visit Istanbul Modern Museum and return to hotel for overnight.
 
Nov 05 – Thursday               ISTANBUL   (B, L)
Full day Bosphorus Tour, visit the Spice Market, and then embark local ferry for a cruise along the Bosphorus viewing the beauty of the European and Asian shorelines on either side.

Lunch will be served along the Bosphorus.

Afternoon disembark from ferry and visit the world famous Grand Bazaar.
 
Nov 06 – Friday                   CANAKKAKE   (B, L, D)
Depart from Istanbul and drive to Gallipoli, through the European lands of Turkey. Cross the Dardanelles Strait by ferryboat and drive to Troy the legendary city of Homer’s Iliad. The first excavations were made by German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann in 1871 revealing that Troy was not only a myth. See the excavations showing several layers of this civilization, and the replica of the infamous Trojan Horse. Lunch en route.

Continue to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
 
Nov 07 – Saturday               KUŞADASI (B, L, D)
Drive to Pergamum, the most favored of the Seven Churches of the Revelation. Christianity reached Pergamum very early and its church was praised for its forbearance in times of persecution. It was here that the first Christians were executed by Rome. Lunch en route.
Visit the stunning Acropolis of the Hellenistic city, perched 1,000 feet above the town. Remains include, the Altar of Zeus, palaces, the temples of Trojan and Dionysus, and the world’s steepest amphitheater. Then visit Asclepion, the ancient health center and the Red Basilica which is one of the Seven Churches of the Apocalypse.
Then drive to Kusadası for overnight
 
Nov 08 – Sunday                  KUŞADASI  (B, L, D)
Drive to Ephesus, one of the most extensively excavated and restored Greco - Roman sites in the world revealing the grandeur of bygone centuries. The city played a major role in the development of architecture, religion, and arts. Ephesus is another city of the Seven Churches of the Revelation, St. Paul lived here and preached here, and the Third Ecumenical Council of the early Christian Church was held here. 

Lunch en route.

Tour the ancient city with its legendary marble streets, the magnificent theater, Hadrian's temple and the Library of Celsus. Then visit the Archaeological Museum of Selçuk, the  House of Mary, where she is believed to have spent her last days, and the 6th century Basilica of St. John.   Return to your hotel for overnight.
 
Nov 09 – Monday                 PAMUKKALE (B, L, D)
Drive to Aphrodisias, the “City of Marble” which was the center of worship of the Goddess Aphrodite until the 6th century after Christ. Visit the temple, one of the largest and the best-preserved archeological sites in Turkey. Lunch en route.
Proced to Pamukkale, known as the “cotton castle” because of the hot spring, calcium laden waters which cascade across terraced limestone pools. 

Visit the ruins of the ancient Roman spa, Hierapolis. See the amphitheater, the city gates and the colonnaded streets.  Arrive at your hotel for dinner and overnight.
 

Nov 10 – Tuesday                BURSA (B, L, D)
Drive to Bursa, visit Green Mosque, the Green Tomb and Bursa’s colorful Silk Bazaar. Lunch en route.

Nov 11 – Wednesday             ISTANBUL  (B, L)
Drive to Iznik where the First and the Seventh Ecumenical Councils were held. The Seventh Ecumenical Council gathered at St.Sophia of Nicea. Lunch en route. Then take ferry, across the Marmara Sea and drive to Istanbul to your hotel.
