DAY 01 ISTANBUL (D)
Arrive Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Meet & greet and transfer to the hotel.
Free time to rest in the afternoon
Welcome cocktail and an ıntroduction talk on Turkish rugs dies and weaving.
Dinner. Overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 02 ISTANBUL – MALATYA (B, L, D)
Take a morning flight from Istanbul to Malatya. Visit Ulucami, Selcuk work of architecture and the Bazaar. Lunch in a local restaurant. Taste local food.
P.M. Visit the biggest rug atelier of the region to see natural dyes and pre and post weaving process.

Dinner and overnight in Malatya.

DAY 03 MALATYA- ADIYAMAN- KAHTA (B, L, D)
Drive to Kahta in the morning via Adıyaman. In the afternoon visit a few rug ateliers of a big weaving project in this region. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 04 KAHTA (B, L, D)
A very early departure from the hotel to Nemrut Mountain to catch the first lights of the day on top of the hill with giant statues of Commagene’s. Spend the rest of the day visiting Old Kahta, New Citadel, Cendere Bridge and rug ateliers and home weaving in the region. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kahta.

DAY 05 KAHTA – KAYSERI (B, L, D)
Drive to Kayseri via Kahramanmaraş. Visit Ulucami, Tas Medrese and the market area in the city. Continue for Kayseri. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 06 KAYSERI-YAHYALI-CAPPADOCIA (B, L, D)
In the morning visit ateliers weaving Bunyan or silk Kayseri rugs. Drive to Yahyali and visit rug weaving villages. Visit local homes where they do individual work. (Spinning, dyeing or weaving depending on the season)

Late afternoon visit Soganli Valley.

Tonight dinner and a local floorshow in a rock carved local restaurant or visit the collection of an old rug dealer.

Overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 07 CAPPADOCIA - KONYA (B, L, D)
Morning departure from Cappadocia.Visit the outstanding churches of Göreme Open Air Museum. Visit Sultanhani on the way. A famous caravansary on the Silk Road. In the nearby village we will visit a few of the hundreds of ateliers restoring old carpets.
Continue to Konya. Lunch in a local restaurant.
Visit Karatay Medrassah with the collection of tiles and Mevlana Museum which is one of the most important museums in Turkey for the ancient Turkish rugs.

Dinner and overnight in Konya.

Tonight a possibility of seeing whirling dervishes.

DAY 08 KONYA (B, L, D)
This morning we will visit the atelier of one of the most important dyers of Turkey. See the art of natural dyeing and participate in the process. Also see performance of feld making from one of the last remaining masters in Konya.
Lunch in a local restaurant. Taste local Konya Kebap.
P.M. Visit the most talented homes where weavers weave reproductions of old rugs with natural dyed handwool.

Dinner and overnight in Konya.

DAY 09 KONYA - ISTANBUL (B)
Take a morning flight to Istanbul. Meet and transfer to the old city. A.M. Visit Islamic Arts Museum, St.Sophia and Underground Cistern. Lunch free.

P.M. Free time for textile and rug viewing.

Overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 10 ISTANBUL (B,D)
A.M. Visit Blue Mosque, Carpet Museum and Topkapi Palace.

Lunch free.

P.M. Grand Bazaar.

Farewell dinner overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 11 DEPARTURE (B)
Transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for your departure flight.
