Day 1 ISTANBUL
Arrive in Istanbul where you are met by your KD guide and driver at the airport.
Transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 ISTANBUL (B)
Begin the day by visiting the Hippodrome, the original venue for Roman chariot races and, latterly, an open air museum for the Byzantian Emperors whose collection included the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine and Constantine Columns. Proceed to the Blue Mosque, created by Sultan Sutan Ahmet I in 1609 and famous for its interior decoration of blue and white Iznik tiles. After this, you will enjoy the magnificent Haghia Sophia Museum, built as the church of “Divine Wisdom” by the Emperor Justinian in the 6th Century AD.
Continue on to the Topkapi Palace, home to 25 Ottoman Sultans during almost 400 years. Today this world famous museum hosts a renowned collection of china and porcelain as well as the breathtaking treasury of the Ottoman Sultans, which includes the infamous Topkapi dagger and the 84 carat Spoonmaker diamond.
End the day in Istanbul’s 400 year old Grand Bazaar. Now beautifully restored it offers not only a superb range of souvenirs and bargains but also stylish handicrafts.
Day 3 ISTANBUL (B)
A chance in the morning to enjoy the sites and sounds of the Egyptian Spice market before boarding your private boat for a cruise between the European and Asian shores of the Bosphorus. As you enjoy the cruise you will see beautiful 19th century wooden houses, the Rumeli and Anadolu Fortresses, the magnificent Dolmabahce palace.
Afternoon proceed to the Church of St.Saviour in Chora. This beautiful church, located just outside some superbly preserved stretches of Constantinople’s city walls, contains some of the most outstanding examples of Byzantine mosaics and frescos to be found in Istanbul. Careful restoration has made it possible for visitors to see the painstakingly created and sequential stories of the bible which have adorned the ceiling of the church since the 11th century AD.
Day 4 ISTANBUL–IZMIR (D)
After breakfast transfer to airport for your flight to İzmir, upon arrive in Izmir, ancient Smyrna, visit the Church of St. Polycarp which is the oldest church in ancient Smyrna. It symbolized the community of the seven churches. Then visit Alexander the Great's Velvet Castle overlooking the gulf of Izmir.
Day 5 IZMIR (B, D)
Drive to Bergama to visit the Acropolis and Aesclepium of Pergamum. Then drive to Akhisar to visit the Church of ancient Thyatira. Return to Izmir.
Day 6 PAMUKKALE (B,D)
Drive to Sardis, ancient capital of the Lydians and visit the Church of Sardis. Continue to Alasehir where the ancient Philadelphia Church is located. Walk the streets of Philadelphia, then proceed Pamukkale,the white ''Cotton Castle'' with its lime cascades of the Roman spa. See the ancient city of Hierapolis. The Martyrium of St. Philip the Apostle is here. Enjoy a leisurely bath in the hot spring pool of your hotel.
Day 7 KUŞADASI (B,D)
Morning visit to Laodicea, then drive to Aphrodisias, the city of the Goddess of Love, see the well preserved Stadium, The Temple of Aphrodite, Odeon, theater, Agora and the Hadrian Bath. Continue to Kusadasi in the afternoon.
Day 8 KUŞADASI (B,D)
Full day visit to the unforgettable remains of Ephesus, the House of Virgin Mary, the Archeological Museum and the Basilica of St.John.
Day 9 Departure (B)
Transfer to Izmir Airport. End of our services
